Interviewed by “Tuttosport”, the president of UNAHOTELS Reggio Emilia Veronica Bartoli has drawn up an initial assessment of the year of the Unahotels Reggiana: «I am very, very happy with the result we obtained because it is a choral result. Everyone contributed to Reggiana reaching the playoffs. And at the crucial moment we united for one goal. There is no contract that can create chemistry, starting from the first to the last person in the club, coaches and players, everyone has united for one goal.” Now the coaching team Priftis will compete in the playoffs. «For us, considering where we were last year – with one day left of the championship we didn’t know if we would be saved – this is the fruit of a lot of efforts and everything came suddenly. After an almost total revolution in the team and at the top, I thought it would take a year. And we also launched young people. Momo Faye was our bet, the only goal placed in the construction of the team. We were right. I’m very happy, my dream would be to launch a player into the first team every year.”
Speaking precisely of the young big man born in 2005, Bartoli adds: «It’s all the result of work done upstream, by two great professionals like Menozzi and Consolini. And we continue even if it requires a lot of patience and perseverance. This is demonstrated by the names of the past, from Basile, Melli, Cervi, to today’s names such as Sasha Grant himself, who we have reported here. The Under 17 qualified for the national finals with a team that has grown day after day. I’m happy about this. And the youth sector is also a link with the territory and with the companies that work there.”
Possibility of returning to play European Cups next season. «There have been European cups in our history. An important moment for the sponsors who support us. Our focus is on the playoffs. Then we will also think based on the placement. Let’s live one dream at a time.”
