To the Madrid Masters 1000 the Dane was beaten in the third round by the Dutch Tallon Griekspoor, but had already risked being eliminated against Mariano Navone.
The Argentine had managed to accomplish one nice comeback, going from 5-1 in the decisive set to the momentary 5-4.
