“Definitely becoming an Inter player (he had arrived on loan with an obligation to buy, ed.) it gave me a little more enthusiasm. The derby? It was a very tense match, but our team was prepared and wanted to win this title against Milan, it would have been nicer. For us, doing this against Milan was not extra pressure, but motivation. We played great games throughout the championship and when the opportunity came to win the derby we all had that motivation. It’s nicer to win against a great rival. We are Inter, we enter all competitions to win. Champions League, Italian Cup… But we had made the second star our main objective. It is a symbol, the second star on the coat of arms. Reach the 20th championship. So that was our main goal, everyone knew that. Of course we didn’t leave the other competitions aside, we gave our all in everything. “One thing that made it a lot easier for me was that I already knew how to speak Italian, I’ve been here for three years. What struck me is that it is a very close-knit group, everyone helps each other. There is no discontent. You know that to move forward, in a long championship, we must have this. I talk to everyone, I get along with everyone. But I hang out more with people my age. I speak both with Bisseck, Frattesi, and also with Lautaro. Sanchez too. We are very good friends and I think that has helped us a lot this year“.
