Marquez warns the other Ducatis

On this Friday Marc Marquez he was, as usual, the best of the riders on the GP23, and the second Ducati rider overall. In Jerez de la Frontera only a record-breaking Francesco Bagnaia and a Maverick Viñales took the cover off him, but the Cabroncito he’s feeling better and better on his Ducati and promises a battle ahead of the weekend, also because the pace seems very competitive.

The Spaniard warned the others Ducati: in each circuit the eight-time world champion feels better, and third place could just be the beginning; this weekend could bring him great satisfaction if he “fine-tunes” the T4.

Marquez’s words

In the last sector I still have to take a small stepas well as in turn 5. I still have to understand how to do T4, I’m still not consistent, and this is what makes the difference“, this is his comment on Sky Sport MotoGP. “In T1 and T3 I’m very good, today the times were good and we immediately reached the limit. Afterwards we stayed there, but the others came closer“.

Let’s see tomorrow, the flying lap is good but here a tenth can take you from the first to the third row. Qualifying will be the most difficult thing. I’m happy because it’s a different track, we started with the Austin set up and I feel better than in Portimão“, he concluded. “Everything goes well and I concentrated, I did the lap on my own and I started first already in FP1. I tried to understand the bike better, but on every circuit I feel better. Having fallen in Austin at a time when I was in the lead after a long time hurts, but the next day I understood the fall and this year I feel happy. I’m dancing with the ‘beauties’ out frontand this is the most important thing because it hasn’t happened for four years, so now we have to try to maintain this consistency, and here we have also made a good step forward with the brake with a modification, and this also helps a lot to have a good step“.
