Milan-Brescia for the top, but watch out for the playoff race and salvation
Descriptive text here

The twenty-ninth and penultimate day of the Serie A basketball regular season is being played this weekend and the race for playoffs and salvation is absolutely in full swing. There are so many challenges to follow, starting with the big match between Olimpia Milano and Brescia, which could be worth the top spot, but without forgetting the matches that can decide a season for many teams.

We start from Pesaro-Cremona, a fundamental challenge for the hosts, currently second to last and virtually relegated. It is mandatory for the Pesaro team to win against a team that mathematically saved itself by winning against Brescia and has little to ask for at the end of the season. Playoff challenge, however, between Trento and Pistoiawith the hosts mathematically qualified, but who want to finish as high as possible in the standings, while for the Tuscans winning is essential to secure the pass for the post season.

As mentioned, the big match of the day is the one between Milan and Brescia. The two teams are paired – together with Virtus Bologna – at the top of the standings and both want to end the regular season first. Whoever wins continues the race for first place, whoever loses is out and will have to settle for one of the backup places. Speaking of top spot and playoffs, the challenge between them is very interesting Tortona and Bologna. The hosts, currently eighth, must win to keep Napoli at a distance in the race for the last place valid for the playoffs, while as mentioned the Emilians want to win to end the season on top.

We then move on to Brindisi-Venice. The guests are now sure of the final fourth place in the standings and go home to a team, the one from Puglia, hanging by a thread. Happy Casa is last with 18 points and will have to close the season with two victories to save themselves, starting with Sunday’s match. In terms of salvation, direct clash between Varese and Treviso. For the Lombards, Serie A is one step away, with Pesaro and Brindisi 4 points apart, and a victory on Sunday would mean mathematical salvation, regardless of the results on other fields. For Treviso, however, winning away is essential to avoid a defeat on the final day.

Match from inside or outside for Naples, busy on the Reggio Emilia pitch, in the playoff race. For the Campanians it is mandatory to win to stay in the top 8, while the Emilians are looking for two points to consolidate their sixth place and attack Trento’s fifth place. The day then ends with Scafati-Sassaria match between two teams that no longer have anything to ask of the season, stuck in limbo between playoffs and relegation.
