A home for the Riccione Rugby Club

A few months after its debut, the Riccione Rugby Club has found a home. The Sports Councilor, Simone Imola, has granted an open space in Viale Bergamo, in San Lorenzo, where the activity can be carried out at any time, in the wake of the Anglo-Saxon trend which offers peripheral rugby playing fields to members, families and supporters to practice any sporting activity. “Now we dream of installing a pair of small rugby posts, so that the strong identity of this sport further consolidates the passion of our young athletes who train with our educators every week – confides Luca Di Dio, president of Riccione Rugby Club – We would then like to become an active player in the neighborhood and start a dialogue with the schools.”

Athletes in the Under 06, 08 and 10 categories, as well as Under 12 and 14, are welcomed into the camp every Monday and Wednesday from 5.30pm to 7pm. Planning for the next season is underway. The Imola councilor expresses pride. “We found this beautiful solution by guaranteeing spaces now equipped with new lighting, therefore safer. Sport in Riccione is growing more and more, after fencing, this is the second club born in our mandate”.
