The Jerez GP this year comes on the eve of two important numbers for Italy. The first is the one relating to consecutive victories of Italian motorcycles: in Austin the mark was reached 20, and, in the case of a victory Aprilia or Ducati in Jerez, the all-time record sequence would be equaled.
