at the Tensostatic it is 3-1 – TraniLive.it

Three points that allow the Lavinia group Volley Trani to remain. At the Ferrante tensostatic the Trani team definitively closed the Sis Med Cutrofiano case, repeating the 3-1 of the first leg. A match well conducted by the hosts who put pressure on their opponents right from the start, who deserve credit for having resisted strenuously.

From the very first points, Lavinia Group Volley Trani made it clear to the Salento players of Sis Med Cutrofiano that they did not want to leave anything to chance: the attacks from the bands of captain Giusy Miranda and Francesca Mitoli, hammered the opposing second line which, due to the different errors in the defense phase forced their coach to spend two time outs in the space of a few points. At 15-9 the Salento team managed to find a winning change of ball, so much so that they managed to score 6 consecutive points. However, at the next ball change, a series of tense serves from Daniela Spaccavento and some attacks from Alessia Dileo brought the blue and white back into a clear lead, until the natural end of the set at 25-16. In the final, however, space for Sabrina Sfregola

The second set confirmed the momentum of the first, with the home team beating their opponents at the start, taking first to 6-2 and then to 10-3, again thanks to a good moment from central Spaccavento. Sis Med Cutrofiano, after a new ball change, started to grind out some points, giving the Trani second line a hard time and eroding the previously acquired advantage. Coach Mazzola then spent a time out to rearrange his athletes on the pitch, also given an increase in free balls granted to the opponents. After the break, the entire offensive department of Lavinia Group Volley Trani managed to get around the obstacle of the opponents’ walls thanks to block out attacks; on the shields Francesca Mitoli, Giusy Miranda and Alessia Dileo, returned to the rotation.

The third half of the game opened with a change of direction, imposed by the Salento athletes, which forced coach Mazzola’s players to chase their opponents. Although the disadvantage was not excessive, the Sis Med team managed to contain the home team’s attacks and respond impeccably. The point-to-point battle continued throughout the set with the Trani players managing to catch their opponents on more than one occasion, thanks also to numerous errors in serving and dribbling, committed by the Salento players, but they systematically missed the opportunity to be able to take the lead. The tenacity of Trani’s first line was good and they maintained constant performance. (21-25)

Leading by two sets to one, coach Mazzola encouraged the Lavinia Group Volley Trani athletes to definitively close the match. The blue and white players started attacking again with more continuity, taking the lead 2-0. However, the opponents did not stand by and responded, dropping the ball into the Trani field four times in a row. Once again the Tranese team took the lead again thanks to a series of attacks scored by Alessia Dileo. At the change of ball, coach Mazzola took advantage of Spaccavento’s return to the field to add further incisiveness to his front line. On the other side of the pitch, the Salento second line, after feeling the blow, began to disunite and concede important points to Giusy Miranda’s diagonal attacks. With a three-point advantage over Sis Med Cutrofiano, Lavinia Group volleyball Trani then maintained a good pace and forced them to concede freeballs. Finally, taking advantage of some errors in the opponent’s serve, and some imprecise touches, the home team won the fourth and final set 25-13
