Sansepolcro’s season ends in the worst possible way, the Bianconeri are the fourth relegated due to the 9 point gap between them and Orvietana, the Umbrian victory over Livorno was decisive. The guests got off to a good start as they conceded two chances created by Ferri Marini, first with a free kick from the edge of the box which went just wide and then with a great shot after clearing the marker which however ended up wide. The Bianconeri persisted and made themselves dangerous throughout the first half by putting in several dangerous crosses but San Donato Tavarnelle took the lead with Neri scoring a penalty in the 44th minute resulting from a handball. In the second half Sansepolcro was immediately dangerous with Pauselli closed by Campinotti and then again Ferri Marini sent it just wide with a free kick. In the 24th minute Fracassini tries from outside but hits the crossbar, Catacchini’s boys are also unlucky in potential scoring opportunities. In the 37th minute Borgo manages to equalize with his usual header but it is too late and the Bianconeri are unable to complete the comeback and are thus forced to return to Eccellenza.
L’Aquila Montevarchi closes the season with a prestigious victory, winning 3 to 1 in a comeback against Grosseto. The guests started off strongly, disappointed with the championship result and now with their sights set on the playoffs, but in the 16th minute the rossoblù came close to taking the lead, Bontempi beat Raffaelli with a touch underneath but the ball was apparently saved on the line amid protests of the home players. Grosseto took the lead in the 27th minute with the young Aprili being the quickest to resolve a melee in the penalty area after a few minutes of dangerous actions by Grosseto who managed in the final to take the advantage until returning to the changing rooms. In the second half, Aquila Montevarchi reopens everything in the 22nd minute with Boncompagni who finds a great shot from outside after a clearance from Raffaelli and in the 30th minute the hosts turn it around with Rufini who doesn’t miss the penalty awarded for the foul from the spot by Macchi on Boiga. The guests look for an equalizer but an excellent Bianca pulls down the shutter and in the 94th minute Keqi with a great free kick puts the exclamation point on a great performance.
However, Sangiovannese, already safe, loses 3 to 1 on the Trestina pitch. The home team ended the first half with a double advantage by taking advantage of defensive lapses by the Valdarno players thanks to Di Nolfo and Menghi. In the second half Sangiovannese started well and tried to reopen the game but Timperanza had to keep the guests afloat and in just a few seconds he made three great saves and in the 29th minute Rotondo reopened the game with a great shot. Ten minutes later, however, Trestina closed the match with Tascini’s goal from the spot.
