Our journey continues in presenting the various stages of the Giro d’Italia which will start on May 4th from Piedmont. Appointment with the sixth stage, the one that will start from Torre del Lago Puccini (Viareggio) and arrive in Rapolano Terme. Let’s discover it in detail with the route, the altitude and the program.

ROUTE SIXTH STAGE GIRO D’ITALIA 2024

This hamlet in Tuscany offers many interesting ideas. In fact, there are Strade Bianche (albeit short stretches) to tackle. The first 70 kilometers are flat, then the climb towards Volterra of 9.8 kilometers at 4.2%. From here the stage heats up, with many ups and downs and, 55 kilometers from the finish, two consecutive stretches of dirt road: the first of 4.4 kilometres, the second of 4.8 kilometres. Then lots of eating and drinking before the last dirt stretch, which will also correspond with the flying finish line: 2.4 kilometers with 15 to go. Also watch out for the constantly rising ending.
