The first victory in the cadet championship came away from home in Sicily, where the “Giovanni Stasi” Tennis Club of Galatina won 4-2 over CT Ragusa.

After an intense week of training and reflection, after the defeat on their home debut against Amp Pavia, the team captained by Donato Marrocco regained victory by imposing themselves on their Sicilian opponents.

We already knew that it would be a difficult match, like every match in the B1 championship, but the team managed to impose its game right from the start.

“The opposing team, as we imagined, fought for every ball, but our boys were better and we return home with a 4-2 result which gives us hope for the future” – stated the director at the end of the match sportsman Silvio Spain.

Here are all the results in the singles: Munzone Cosimo against Novo Ignacio 2-6/0-6, Giuffrida Michelangelo against Cardinale Andrea 6-4/0-6/2-6, Rosati Paolo against Bellifemine Alessandro Raffaele 4-6/2-6 , Licitra Giorgio against Duma Jacopo 6-0/6-3.

As for the doubles: Rosati Paolo/Licitra Giorgio against Bellifemine Alessandro Raffaele/Novo Ignacio 2-6/3-6 and Munzone Cosimo/Giuffrida Michelangelo against Cardinale Andrea/Romano Nicolò 6-2/6-4.

“We knew it wouldn’t be easy to play here in Ragusa in front of so many people and win. We succeeded – declares the captain and technical director Donato Marrocco -. Great effort from everyone, very motivated after the defeat at home last Sunday. I’m still excited about the first victory in B1. Now there will be a two-week break for the Rome internationals and then we will play again at home, on Sunday 19 May, against CT Rovereto and we will do our best to win in front of our fans.”
