The Ferrari that will present itself at the Miami GP with a celebratory livery will be only the latest of the innovations and initiatives tailored around the next round of the world championship. We start from Cavalcade International, starting on April 28th and arriving in Miami, in the week of the GP.
Then, space for world premiere of a model that is destined to be the heir to the Ferrari 812 Superfast: new generation of the grand tourer with front engine and new generation of the V12 expected.
The blue returns to Ferrari
In Miami, the characteristic of the livery – and the drivers’ suits – will be the presence of two shades of blue employed until the mid-1970s.
The SF24 will have details (it is not yet clear how relevant) of Azzurro La Plata and Azzurro Dino. The first is a reference to the color used by Alberto Ascari, blue shirt and helmet as also in the Sixties for the suits of Surtees, Bandini, Amon, Scarfiotti.
The darker theDino blue, present on the racing suits of Arturo Merzario and Clay Regazzoni. The 1974 season was the last in which the Azzurro Dino appeared on the drivers’ uniforms, before switching to red.

Seventy years since the NART blue-white Ferraris in F1
Tracksuits aside, blue was the distinctive color of the NART team, that is, Ferrari’s commitment to US racing with Luigi Chinetti’s teamexclusive importer of the Reds in the States.
2024 marks 70 years since 1964when the last two races of the Formula 1 season (USA GP and Mexican GP) were run in white-blue NART: since then, only Ferraris in the World Championship have always been red.
A possible clue regarding the SF-24’s special livery is the reference to the red Ferrari NART but with blue wheels. A series of initiatives in the States announced while rumors increase of a new important sponsorship for the Scuderia, which would involve HP’s commitment.
