Having completed the play-off series on Thursday, everything is ready at the Estra Forum in Chiusi for the quarter-finals of the Under 19 Eccellenza championship. The four scheduled matches will be played in sequence starting from 2.00 pm:

Olimpia Milano opened the program against Fulgor Fidenza. The Milanese team prevailed, with a score of 75-61, and reached the semi-final, where they will face Victoria Libertas against Pesaro. Coach Luminati’s team in fact prevailed in the Marche derby against CAB Stamura Basket Ancona 57-83.
High pace also in the second match of the day, the Piedmontese derby between the reigning Under 19 vice champions and the Next Gen 2024 vice champions. With a large gap (+17, after being +26) Allianz Derthona prevailed Basketball, winning over College Basketball Borgomanero 87-70.
In the Semifinal Tortona will face the winner of Pallacanestro Varese–Dolomiti Energia Trento.
Nex Nippon Express Fidenza – EA7-Emporio Armani Olimpia Milan 61-75
Olimpia Milano doesn’t seem to be feeling the strain of the play-off, starting off strong with a 0-4 partial. The match is lively, Fidenza reacts but it is Catalani’s team that holds the reins of the match (13-15 three minutes from the siren). Milan extends further, dragged by Suigo already in double figures. Nex Nippon has the last word with Bellini’s triple which closes the quarter 16-22. The plus six turns into a thirteen point advantage for Milan, patient in defense and precise in attack (18-31 close to the halfway mark). Ramponi keeps his team clinging to the score (12 personal haul), but Fidenza’s percentages are low (22% from two, 18% from three). Fulgor counters, but the first half ends with Olimpia ahead 32-40.
Fidenza super at the start of the second half: the 8-2 break completely reopens the contest. After a couple of minutes at low speed, Milan wakes up and returns the partial and regains control of the match. Fidenza’s percentages are slightly better, but far from those of EA7 (55% from the average). The third period ends at plus eleven for Catalani’s team (47-58). Fidenza tries, but Milan has every intention of closing the matter without worry (54-68 with six to go before the siren). Olimpia Mortgage: Lonati finds continuity from long range and Fidenza raises the white flag. Milan beats Fulgor 61-75 and is the first team to qualify for the semi-finals.

High expectations for the Piedmontese derby which are not betrayed from the first actions. Borgomanero moves forward with a Ferrari in great shape (13 points and 100% from the field in the top ten). Tortona responds with Baldi and Tambwe (both at 6). At the end of the scoreboard, the Bianconeri raise the pace: from minus four (13-17) to plus four (23-19). Allianz’s great moment continues at the beginning of the second quarter. Conti’s three-point play is worth the plus eight at 32-24. Borgomanero struggles to keep up with his opponents who run further away (43-28 at three thirty from the long break). Three players in double figures for Tortona (Conte, Josovic and Tambwe), Borgomanero always on the shoulders of Ferrai (16 points) and the scoreboard reading 45-31 ninety seconds from the siren. Errica gets on the scoresheet with the triple which extends the lead to fifteen. Teams in the locker room at 48-34.

Zanetti scores the basket which interrupts Tortona’s advance (54-36), but at the moment there is no story: two consecutive triples from Ansaloni’s boys push the College back (62-36 at mid-period). Borgomanero tries to reverse the trend by scoring seven points in quick succession. However, the reaction was only worth minus twenty at the end of the third quarter (70-50). Ferrari and Trucchetti are Borgomanero’s all in. Tortona calls and raises to 80-59 with Errica’s triple. In the end there is only space for statistical updates. Tortona beats Borgomanero 87-70 and qualifies for the semifinal.

Marche derby in the third quarter-final scheduled at the Estra Forum.
