Carrozza (Cnr president): “Neuroscience-neurorobotics relationship, University of Siena boasts peaks of excellence”

Robotics applied in the broad field of research and innovation is truly a resource for the future and it is on this that the President of the Cnr Maria Chiara Carrozza explains how thanks to the Pnrr the dimensioning of technologies linked to Artificial Intelligence has greatly increased.

“There are several projects in the Pnr field, one of these worth more than 100 million euros concerns medical robotics – explains Carrozza – a large national initiative between the ministries of health and education, to take care of the clinical insertion of robots, then others investments are planned in artificial intelligence, of 110 million euros”.

Enhancing the many potentials that exist in the Italian research system has always been one of Maria Chiara Carrozza’s wishes when she held the role of Minister of Education, University and Research, truly investing in young researchers. And the President of the National Research Center applauds the work carried out by the University of Siena which remains an academic excellence due to the great attention paid to Robotics and technological innovations at the service of neuroscience. “There is a very important robotics network also in Siena, which is strong in the field – he confirms – especially in the part of the relationship between neuroscience and neurorobotics, there are peaks of excellence”.
