Verstappen on a Red Bull in perfect shape he wins the Sprint Race of Chinese GP 2024the season premiere of Formula 1. The 19-lap mini race was lively with many twists and turns.

In the first laps it was Hamilton on a Mercedes finally competitive to lead the race followed by Alonso, Verstappen and the Ferrari Of Sainz. On the seventh lap the Dutchman from Fed Bull takes the lead and “burns” Alonso, taking second position. Two laps later, on the ninth lap, the reigning world champion also passed Hamilton and took the lead. In the space of a few laps, Verstappen, thanks to a clearly superior car, goes away, inflicting heavy gaps on his opponents. On the 15th lap Verstappen took almost 7 seconds from Hamilton who has 2 seconds and 6 from Alonso who defends himself on the other Red Bull Of Perezwith the Mexican trying to contain the attacks of Leclerc on Ferrari.

On lap 16, a nice duel between Sainz and Alonso, with the Ferrari driver passing the Astob driver Martin. Leclerc also took advantage of this and overtook his teammate to move into fourth place. Alonso was forced to withdraw due to the tire puncture suffered during the melee duel with Sainz. The race ends, with Norris, Piastri and Russell finishing in the points. Let’s remember that the Sprint Race assign points for the world championship: 8 for first, 7 for second, 6 for third and so on until eighth place.
