For bike lovers, a Gravel event in Palmanova.
Along dirt roads, secondary roads, paths and cycle paths along a route to discover Palmanova and its surroundings by bike: GravelNova debuts on May 5th, manifestation of off-road cycling which will not fail to involve a large number of enthusiasts.
This is a Gravel event, without competitive purposesorganized by the Bastioni Bike Asd Group under the aegis of Acsi Ciclismo. There are two routes: 75 and 105 km. Nothing particularly challenging: both routes are smooth and they do not present excessive altimetric or technical difficultiesdeveloping mostly in the Lower Friulana area, starting from the splendid Palmanova.
“It’s not a race and the participants no type of technical support will be guaranteed along the way – he explains Luca Martina, president of Bastioni Bike Asd, a company with long experience in the organizational field -. Like any self-respecting Gravel, we will travel along dirt and dirt roads, cycle paths, paths and secondary asphalted roads. The routes will not be marked with arrows and tables, ai participants will be provided with a GPS track. It is mandatory to follow it, under penalty of exclusion from the event”.
Without the worry of timing and placingthe beauty of GravelNova will be enjoy the moment, cross historic villages and immerse yourself in the greenery of the Friulian countryside. They won’t be missed rich refreshments, the final Pasta Party and a special “finisher” recognition. For the route from 75 km the certificate of healthy and robust constitution will be sufficientwhile for that from 105kmnot without some hilly roughness (road bikes are not recommended for this reason), you need competitive card.
The online registrations, via the Bastionibike.it website, they will remain open until Thursday 2 May at a cost of 15 euros. They will then reopen on site, on GravelNova day, at a non-subsidized price (20 euros). Meeting point at the former Piave barracks in the Vallaresso district in Palmanova. The charm of the famous starry city, a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2017, is ready to welcome the protagonists of GravelNova, the “Gravel of the stars”, as the organizers have defined it.
