Last April 15th a representative of the Mobile Department of the Catania State Police participated in a meeting with the students and teachers of the ICS “M. Pluchinotta” by SA Li Battiati, as part of the “Legalità Scuola Rugby” project, born from the partnership between the Fiamme Oro of the State Police, the Mobile Units of southern Italy, the FIR and the sports associations present in the area.

The initiative was created to encourage the spread of the culture of legality and social inclusion, underlining the importance of the psycho-physical well-being inherent in sports practice.

Sport constitutes a bond between generations and promotes a society based on inclusion, solidarity and respect for the rules.

The recipients of this project are young people from primary schools who thus have the opportunity to learn about a sport, rugby, which has its origins in solid values shared by the State Police, the fulcrum for the orderly and peaceful growth of society.

During the meeting, taking inspiration from the connections between sport, legality and the function of guarantor of public order and safety of the State Police, a fruitful dialogue was initiated with the young students who attended.
