Confirmation from the University of Motorcycling. Agreement reached between the organizers of the MotoGP and the TT Circuit Assen (Netherlands)That it will be present in the world championship calendar until 2031extending the previously signed agreement by a further five seasons and valid until 2026.

Good news for fansnote the characteristics of the Dutch layout, citing the last chicanethe setting for many iconic moments of two-wheeled motorsport in the past and present. Assen is also the circuit with the oldest presence on the calendar, recalling the appointment in 1949, the year in which it all began.

2025 will be another key year as the Netherlands stage will celebrate the centenary of the first TT. Almost a century after the first event took place in Assen and 75 years after the first time of the MotoGP on the Dutch track, the TT Circuit continues to be legendary.

We are very happy to announce the long-term presence of Assen on the calendar. Assen was part of our first season in 1949 and no other place has always been part of our calendar for all these 75 years of competition that we celebrate in 2024. A unique fact, but we don’t return to Assen just for the history or the statistics. Racing at Assen, in addition to the 100th anniversary of the first races held on the Dutch track, continues to be something special and only gets better and better. It’s a fantastic, modern place that continues to bring us incredible races and iconic moments and there’s no better combination than the world’s most exciting sport in action in one of its best settings“, he has declared Carmelo EzpeletaCEO of Dorna Sports.
