Michele Vitali he spoke about his present and his future in Reggio Emilia, a team in full swing for a place in the playoffs at the end of a very positive season in the columns of the Gazzetta di Reggio.
Present and future. “Next season I would like to still be here. In Reggio my family and I had a great time. First of all, however, I think about finishing the championship well. We still have to take the last little step to reach the playoffs, after which we will only think about those.”
Next meeting as a former player with Virtus Bologna. A prediction. “Difficult. What we hope for is to repeat the performances of the first leg and of the Italian Cup. On both occasions we won, managing to limit the great Virtus champions. Players of that caliber cannot be eliminated but they can be put into difficulty by limiting them with an intense defense and we will all have to be defensively ready on Sunday too. Then it is clear that matches are not won just on one side of the pitch but by playing well all over the pitch, so our attack will also have to work very well.”
The team’s objective is to confirm themselves in fifth place. “Yes even if it’s hard. This is a championship in which no one gives anything away. The good thing is that we have created the opportunity to have destiny in our own hands. Now, one little step at a time, we will try to reach the playoffs first and then the best possible position.”
A first personal assessment of his year at UNAHOTELS. “I’m satisfied. The best thing for a player is when the team does well, then I’m the captain and that’s the best. I always give everything on the pitch even if sometimes I make mistakes. Our strength?
