At the end of a literally dominated season, the men’s team of ASD Volley 96 achieved the deserved promotion, moving from the 1st Div/M to the regional Serie D championship.

A triumphal ride for the group coached by Daniele Sottile and Davide Calabrò who, after the first defeat on their debut, put together a streak of consecutive victories, until they moved up in category. A goal that arrived already in the first year since the return of men’s volleyball to Milazzo after 4 years of absence, a project carried out by the manager Giusy Salmeri, daughter of art and athlete of the women’s team.
The idea of focusing on elements of the youth sector, such as the young Domenico Rispoli, born in 2008, protagonist both in the under and first team championships, together with some experienced players, above all Andrea Sicuro, captain and leader of the group, was proved to be a winning mix.
The team made use of figures who were a real luxury for the category, such as the masseur Carmelo Inglese, the sports psychologist Marco Italiano and the head of the
marketing Nico Caragliano, without neglecting the enthusiasm and passion of president Gioacchino Nastasi, a point of reference for everyone.
And in a few weeks, the promotion of the women’s team is also expected, still undefeated and a real steamroller in their championship.
ASD Volley 96 therefore confirms itself as a company on the rise, particularly attentive to the youth sector, as demonstrated by the growing registrations, and with great ambitions, above all to bring Milazzo volleyball into more prestigious categories.
