in Montecarlo it’s not just him, here are the other Italians

Sinner has been at the center of attention in Italy and the whole world for some time. In Monte Carlo, however, there wasn’t just him to monitor.

Jannik Sinner is definitely the Italian athlete of the moment. The tennis player, born in San Candido, Bolzano, on 16 August 2001, is currently in second place in the ATP ranking. His 2024, so far, has been nothing short of extraordinary and he doesn’t seem to want to stop at the already exceptional results obtained so far.

Already in 2023 he had shown extraordinary physical and mental qualities, but his current form is truly amazing. The tennis player had to “cash in” on the disappointment of Monte Carlo, where his run stopped in the semi-final, but he is already ready to start again in view of new tournaments and successes.

However, there are also those who returned from Monte Carlo with a victory. In fact, Sinner was not the only Italian in the game. As we will see in the next lines, in fact, there was really a lot of Italy in this fantastic tournament of great importance.

Montecarlo, not just Sinner: how much Italy is at the Masters

We are not just talking about Italian athletes present in the race, including Sinner, but also about cars. Also Maserati it was in fact present at the Masters 1000 in Monte Carlo. The manufacturer was alongside the Monte Carlo Masters as main sponsor and official car of the tournament. In fact, until April 14th, the cars of the Modena brand were present in Monte Carlo while the best tennis players in the world competed for the final victory of one of the most important tournaments ever – excluding the four Grand Slam tournaments and the ATP Finals.

The cars on display during the event were mainly the Maserati MC20 Cielo and the GranCabrio Trofeo. Both were on display inside the Monaco Country Club. An entire fleet made up of the Grecale, Levante, Ghibli and Quattroporte was instead used for the transfers of the tennis players between one match and another and those of the Maserati guests who will follow the games. In the VIP Villahe area it was possible to notice the MC20 Cielo Opera d’arte, a unique vehicle created upon the specific request of a customer.

It is a one-off inspired by abstract art and created to enhance the exclusive Maserati Fuoriserie customization program. We are talking about a complex and refined process, never performed until now and created entirely by hand. The brand new Maserati GranCabrio Trofeo was the protagonist in the Commercial Village. It was launched at the end of February by the Italian manufacturer. In short, Italians, you have been warned: in addition to the phenomenal Sinner, eyes have also been focused on another Italian champion… on four wheels, however.
