Seven hours of travel, to cover a distance of just eight kilometers, the one that separates the stadium Giuseppe Meazza of Milan to the central square of Cathedral. And an estimate of around 200 thousand people, along the streets of the city, to act as a human escort to the open-top bus with the Inter players, 2024 Italian champions, winners of the twentieth Scudetto in Nerazzurri history, which is worth the seam of the second star on the shirt.
Having left shortly after 4pm, the Inter fans took the road via Caprilli, corso Sempione, via della Liberazione, company headquarters, and via Manzoni. They arrived at the Duomo around 11pm, a good two hours late compared to the scheduled timetable and the bus would have wanted to arrive around 8.30pm, maximum 9pm! Having taken to the square, they immediately went up to Terrace 21 to celebrate, microphone in hand, with the Nerazzurri tide entirely covering the ground below.
What better occasion, then, to remove a pebble from your shoe? Alessandro Bastoni did it, one of the best performers of this season and a reliable future also for the national team Luciano Spalletti. Bastoni responded well to the provocation of Davide Moscardelli, 44 years old and former striker of, among others, Chievo and Bologna in Serie A, with whom he accumulated 92 appearances and 12 goals. Moscardelli, immediately after the first party on Monday evening, following Inter’s victory in the derby against Milan and the arithmetic verdict of the Scudetto, ironically commented to TVPlay on the celebration of the Bauscia fans: “Go and take the video of when I given the championship against Pisa, there were more people.” Bastoni, admiring the Nerazzurri crowd throughout the city, took the microphone in his hand and said: “I wanted to tell you something. I think Moscardelli was wrong… you are the most beautiful in the world!”. There was a roar from the crowd, who immediately started chanting for the Nerazzurri defender.
