Perez, start ok
As often happened to him in Red Bull, Sergio Perez he started the season very well. The Mexican seems to have found what they always asked of him in Milton Keynes: continuity. For three times Checo he finished in second place behind Max Verstappen, avoiding those ups and downs that had put him in question last year.

Now the #11 tries to exploit this positive moment for contractual purposes (the agreement expires at the end of the year), as already done after the victory in Monte-Carlo in 2022: “I think it will be a matter of time, obviously the driver market is moving and there will definitely be a lot of movement in the next few weeks, so I expect that within a month I will actually know what I will do next year“, this is his comment to the British Sky Sports UK.
“I’m pretty calm. My main focus is F1 and whatever happens I’m really happy with what I’ve done so far in the sport“.
In short, Perez is pushing Red Bull and wants a renewal as early as this spring. In Red Bull – naturally – they want to wait longer to see how the Mexican adapts to the development of the car, an aspect with which he has never come to terms in a team where one necessarily follows a path in line with the indications of the most strong.
