Line ofhigh speed blocked at the height of Firenze due to an investment. According to initial information, an Italo train hit a person on the tracks. The episode happened around 6.35pm near the Florence Rifredi station. Traffic restarted about an hour later, but delays of at least an hour involving numerous trains were recorded.
Severe delays for high-speed trains
Due to a person’s investment, which occurred at the height of the Rifredi station in Florencethere are heavy delays on the high-speed line. In cascade, the delays are also having repercussions on other convoys.
According to what Trenitalia reported, the inconveniences are currently significant 28 high-speed trains7 Intercity and 35 regional. The investment occurred around 6.35pm on Sunday 28 December.

- Napoli Centrale can use the FR 9325 Torino Porta Nuova train (3.40pm) – Napoli Centrale (10.03pm).
Trenitalia also announces that regional trains may be subject to route limitations and cancellations.
The investment involved an Italo train in Florence Rifredi
According to initial information, the investment involved an Italo train and, as always happens in these cases, the judicial authority intervened on site to carry out all the necessary investigations.
Last December 23rd the fatal collision of a woman at the height of Mogliano Venetonear Treviso, had caused delays of up to two hours on the high-speed line that connects the north-east of the country to the rest of Italy.
Similar situation on 16 December in Chiusi, where the body of a 41-year-old was found on the tracks. Due to the judicial investigations, the route was blocked and several trains were even cancelled.
