Modena, 1 April 2023 – Summit in the prefecture, this morningAfter the murder of the 16-year-old Pakistani (VIDEO), welcomed in Modena as part of the project for unaccompanied foreign minors. This morning, chaired by the Prefect Alessandra Camporota, the meeting of the Provincial Committee for Public Order and Safety was held for an initial assessment of the episode that occurred yesterday in the area of Novi Sad Park of Modena iin which the foreign teenager lost his life.
The first findings made it possible to ascertain that, around 16.30 yesterday afternoon, inside the Novi Sad Park in Modena, during an argument between two groups of Pakistani-born boys, a sixteen-year-old boy who had been hosted for a few months in a project for the reception of unaccompanied foreign minors of the Municipality of Modena.
From an immediate analysis carried out by the Carabinieri, promptly intervening on the spot together with patrols of the State Police and the Municipal Police and the 118 ambulances, it was possible to detect that the stabbing was probably the result of an impulse gesture at the height of the dispute.
The police are conducting targeted investigations into the episode in the utmost secrecy. At the meeting it was arranged an immediate strengthening of the control services in the area affected by the episode, already the subject of particular attention by the police forces, also through the intervention of supervised departments, which have already been requested, and with the daily patrolling of the soldiers present on the territory as part of Operation Strade Sicure.
