Located in Rue Centrale 35, Le Constellation can hold up to 300 people and is equipped with a heated panoramic terrace that can accommodate a maximum of 40. In the venue, it is explained on the official Crans-Montana website, there is a Lounge Bar – which over the years has hosted some of the most famous international DJs – and a “secret bar, where the water flows naturally on the rock”. Then “an area dedicated to shisha, perfect for sharing a convivial moment with friends”. Crans-Montana between tourism and sport
Crans-Montana is one of the most sought after and popular tourist destinations in the entire Alpine region, attracting visitors from all over Switzerland and Europe – there are up to a million overnight stays a year – but it is also an exclusive destination for the international jet set. With 10,000 inhabitants, it offers around 2,600 hotel beds and hundreds of holiday apartments. It is a popular place in summer thanks to its 18-hole golf course, mountain paths for hiking and mountain biking, sport climbing, water skiing and paragliding, and it is so with its 140 km of ski slopes, of which 3 are for night skiing, and 70 km for Nordic skiing, as well as routes for snowshoe enthusiasts and those for sledding. The tourist region of Crans-Montana was originally born as a tourist center on the plateau around the municipality of Montana and developed together with the tourist village of Crans-sur-Sierre created in 1929. Looking at past history, the town of Crans-Montana was founded in 1892 with the inauguration of the Hotel du Parc. Since 1897, with the arrival of the patients of Doctor Theodore Stephani and subsequently with the opening of the Beauregard sanatorium, the Swiss resort increased its fame internationally for its particularly dry air. Crans-Montana is also an iconic place for skiing. The Swiss town has always been the historic venue for the Alpine skiing world cup: on the slopes of Mont Lachaux and Nationale – the temple of speed – the women’s downhill races and the men’s Super-G are scheduled for the end of the month (30-31 January). The Swiss stage will be the last test of alpine skiing before the Olympic Games in Milan Cortina. The same ski area will host the 2027 World Ski Championships, scheduled from February 1st to 14th. Furthermore, the World Mountain Running Championships were held in Crans-Montana (2008) and it was the arrival location of the Tour de Suisse seven times (last time in 2013) and once of the Tour de France, in 1984. In 2023 the Giro d’Italia also arrived there.
