Tommaso Franchi, competitor of Big Brother, retraced his experience in reality television and the period following the end of the program to the microphones of the podcast ‘L’altraface’, focusing on his relationship with Mariavittoria Minghetti, which continues even away from the cameras.
Tommaso Franchi was one of the most popular faces of the eighteenth edition of Big Brother, the one won by singer Jessica Morlacchi and hosted by Alfonso Signorini. Despite not reaching the final, the Tuscan competitor won over the public of Canale 5 thanks to his spontaneity and sensitivity, characteristics that also brought him closer to Mariavittoria Minghetti. In fact, speaking about their love story, Tommaso explained how the relationship has grown above all outside the Housetaking on a new and more concrete dimension. “Mariavittoria, as well as being my girlfriend, has become my sidekick“, he said. “Mariavittoria and I met outside, it was like having a new relationship, a new approach“.
The former gieffino underlined having discovered new aspects of his partnerparticularly on a professional level: “I met her from a work perspective, she is completely different. Seeing her in her lab coat when she works is very professional, it’s incredible“. Tommaso also spoke about the relationship with Mariavittoria’s family: “I met his family, his parents, his sister, They are wonderful and I love them“.
During the interview, the former gieffino he also returned to the Big Brother experience and about what happened after the program ended: “I felt forced from a certain point after Big Brother to have to do something in the world of entertainment“, he admitted. He said he had considered various possibilities, but without really feeling them to be his: “I asked myself if I should do another program, if I should do diction, acting and so I threw myself into doing many things. This was a stepping stonebut I didn’t do anything“. In fact, although reality TV often represents an opportunity to permanently enter the world of entertainment, Tommaso chose a different path. “The experience was an end in itself, that world pushes you to keep up, to do everything quickly, I want to follow my own path, I don’t want to follow in other people’s footsteps“he explained, adding: “I reinvented myself after GF“.
Today Tommaso has decided to focus on what he is truly passionate about: mythology and writing. “I tried to convey my passion for mythology, I told it in another key, describe a myth in a more modern key, bring it back to the present day, make a cultural reflection“. A project that has received positive feedback: “I’ve had excellent feedback, many newspapers are republishing me, I’ve had compliments from people in the entertainment industry. It’s nice because I bring a different contentI wasn’t interested in appearing from a physical point of view, I wanted to make myself known for what I had inside and I started writing“.
Tommaso Franchi’s experience, therefore, demonstrates that television is not always a point of arrival. Sometimes, in fact, this is just an important experience, a necessary stage to get to know yourself better and to consciously choose who you really want to be.
Speaking of Big Brother VIP: the GF production intervened in the Signorini case, starting internal checks.
