VORTEX ON THE MEDITERRANEAN. The vortex that at the end of the weekend it will position itself between north-western Italy and the upper Tyrrhenian Sea and will move very slowly over the next week, almost marking time in correspondence with the central Mediterranean. Although it is currently difficult to identify its exact positioning, it is nevertheless clear that it is positioned near our country will be able to cause conditions of instability in many regions, not just northerners.

TRENDING MONDAY 24 JUNE. On Monday the depression center should be located between Corsica and the upper Tyrrhenian Sea, resulting in conditions of instability in the North and in a large part of Central Italy, as well as in Sardinia, with showers and thunderstorms at times strong, albeit alternating with sunnier moments. In this first phase the regions of Southern Italy should still remain protected from the anticyclone, with possible peaks of around 35°C. Much more moderate heat in the rest of Italy.

TRENDING FROM TUESDAY 25 JUNE. Subsequently the vortex could begin to gradually move towards the Balkans, with possible extension of the instability to parts of the southern peninsula Tuesday 25th and with temperatures decreasing. Only around Wednesday 26th/Thursday 27th should it exit the scene, reaching the Balkan sector allowing greater stabilization of the weather especially in the Centre-South, with temperatures recovering but without particular heat waves. However, this is a trend that could undergo changes in the coming days, due to the temporal distance. We advise you to follow the next updates.
