Rai journalists in fact interviewed the employer (who worked illegally), who spoke of simple “lightness”. Selvaggia Lucarelli expressed all her bitterness about it X through a tweet which, according to comments, has become a real sounding board for the anger of thousands of people. To the Tg1 today Thursday 20 June, as mentioned, a service questionable to say the least regarding the death of Satnam Singhthe Indian laborer left dying on the street after losing his right arm in an accident at work in the province of Latina e deceased yesterday morning in Rome. A story of exploitation of a worker paid (under the table) 4 euros an hour, who paid with his life for the inhuman conditions imposed by his employer. The service of Tg1however, certainly did not underline the cruelty of the story, actually reporting the story through the words of the company owner (accused of failure to assist, violation of the provisions on irregular work and manslaughter), who spoke of “a disappointment, a lightness that cost everyone dearly“.
Selvaggia Lucarelli’s indignation and the reaction of social media
After dedicating yesterday to my personal battle with Chiara Ferragni, Beatrice Valli and the world of influencersin the morning Selvaggia Lucarelli commented on what happened to the Tg1, harshly attacking the surreal report on the death of Satnam Singh. “They make him work without a regular contract, they leave him on the street with his arm severed and the lightness belongs to the worker, a lightness which COST EVERYONE dearly. But the shame” he thundered on X the journalist, who received the consent of many followers were shocked by the story: “This is not just exploitation but barbarism, which ignores every normal gesture of humanity”, “Shame on this unknown person!”, “We are now in pure slavery”, “That intervention really shouldn’t have been broadcast. They wanted distract the public from the horrendous sins of the employer” we read among the comments on social.
