Milan, 9 June 2024 – I’m still in the six-year-old child and the 45-year-old mother are in very serious conditions finished yesterday afternoon in waters of the port of Lavagnain the province of Genoa, in Liguria, while they were aboard the family car fell into the sea from a dock on which it was maneuvering.

The baby and the mother are originally from Milan remained under the water trapped in the passenger compartment for many minutes before being freed by a diver and two mooring men who intervened immediately.
In cardiac arrest, the most serious appeared immediately child who arrived by helicopter at the Gaslini Hospital in Genoa and is now in intensive care. This morning the doctors described the situation as desperate.
The mother is instead hospitalized in Lavagna hospital, intubated with a reserved prognosis. they are in the same hospital the 16 year old daughter, the 12 year old son and the father, in a state of shock and assisted by a pool of psychologists. These last three they got out of the car first and suffered no physical harm.
The investigations are being conducted by the Circomare of Santa Margherita Ligure which should already give the firefighters the task of recovering the sunken car today. According to the first testimonies the car he was carrying out a reverse manoeuvre on the pier when suddenly it didn’t stop and after tearing away a column it ended up in the water. The family was returning from a boat trip and was organizing their return home.
