“Serious delays in sending aid have led to serious consequences. But it is not too late for Ukraine to win, more support is now on the way. Allies have heard your call.” NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said this at a press conference in Kiev with President Volodymir Zelensky, assuring that he “expects announcements of new aid” from the Allies.

“Moscow must understand that it cannot win. Ukraine will be a member of NATO. When the time is right it will become one and the Ukrainian flag will fly in the Alliance headquarters”, he added, underlining that he is working hard to ensure that Ukraine becomes a member of NATO. We need all allies to agree. I do not expect that we will reach such an agreement by the July summit,” scheduled to be held in Washington from July 9 to 11.

“It is important that the delivery of military aid is faster. We await positive developments from our partners. We know what our partners can offer. But the faster the delivery of military aid, the more we will be able to stabilize” Ukraine. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said this. “We are working in NATO so that the Allies send more air defense systems. Today Australia announced that it will provide 4 short-range air defense systems. We are focusing on the Patriots and on ammunition”, explained Stoltenberg for his part. who also spoke with Zelensky about the proposal for a 100 billion fund for Ukraine which has begun to be discussed in the Atlantic Alliance. “It is important that aid is rapid, every day is important”, added Stoltenberg, recalling the important decisions taken in recent days by the USA and Great Britain in supporting Kiev. “If we don’t deliver what we have to, there will be consequences for Ukraine but also for us. The biggest risk is that President Putin prevails. Supporting Ukraine is a matter of our security,” Stoltnberg underlined.
