The influx of arctic air that has kept much of Italy in check throughout the week with temperatures much lower than average is on its last legs. Already during the day today things will begin to change and they will do so radically in weekend. In fact, the Arctic influx is being interrupted and will be replaced by milder Afro-Mediterranean currents, transported by a high pressure field rising over the central Mediterranean. Temperatures will rise almost everywhere over the weekend, so much so that they will go even beyond the averages in the Centre-South. The North, however, will see a less significant increase, especially the Northwest, as it is involved in the passage of some pulses of Atlantic origin which will bring clouds and some rain, keeping the values below average by a few degrees.
Here are the temperatures expected for the next few days in detail:
SATURDAY TEMPERATURES. Further increase in temperatures throughout Italy compared to the previous 24 hours, with the exception of the Northwest, which was dealing with the passage of clouds and some rain and with highs of around 15°C. Peaks of 22/23°C will be reached in the southern regions, up to 24°C in Sardinia.
SUNDAY TEMPERATURES. Temperatures continue to increase across practically all of Italy with highs of 24/26°C in the Centre-South and even higher peaks in the internal Tyrrhenian areas and Sardinia, with peaks of 26/27°C.
NEXT TREND. Temperatures will also slightly increase in the first days of next week, a probable trend reversal from first of May due to the approach of a depression from Western Europe.
