Sunday 12 May is getting closer and closer and the appointment with the Under 13 territorial finals arrives which will be organized by the MioVolley Consortium with the active collaboration of the Pro Loco and other activities of Gossolengo.
Four teams will compete for the title of provincial champions: Castellana Volley Blu, Emilbanca Vap, Smv Costr. Nure Volley and the winner of the play-off between River Volley and All Times Caffè MioVolley (set for Saturday at 11am). The semi-finals will start at 9.30am, the final for third place at 3.30pm and the final at 5.30pm. Individual awards for MVP, best middle blocker, best libero and best setter.
The Final Four was presented by Pier Luigi Stefli, president of Polisportiva VII Castelli, a company that is part of MioVolley. «As a Consortium we are keen to organize the final phases for this category, in which we move away from promotional volleyball to move into “grown-up” volleyball. For the occasion, the Pro Loco of Gossolengo will make men, vehicles and structures available by organizing a small kiosk near the Palazzetto. Also important is the support of other activities in the town which will allow participants and staff to have lunch at discounted prices.”
The president of Fipav Piacenza Cesare Lucca underlined the importance of the support of local companies. «We must always thank the organizations that organize these events, without their support a significant effort would be needed. Focusing on youth volleyball involves sacrifices but Piacenza has grown qualitatively on this front in recent years.”
President Lucca’s thoughts were echoed by Marco Fava, Fipav Piacenza councilor. «As a Federation we thank Stefli and all the staff who work and will work for the event. On Sunday, a journey that began at the end of September with twenty-four teams at the start will end: the Under 13s is a moment of transition, an important phase for all parents too.”
