“I’ve read the many PS5 Pro developer documents and Sony has made some interesting choices for their next console,” Warren wrote on X, who then explained: “The CPU of PS5 Pro will target 3.85GHz (10% more than PS5) in the new ‘high frequency CPU mode’. In standard mode it will be 3.5GHz. Developers will be able to choose the mode and will have access to an additional 1.2 GB of system memory, as Sony has freed up 13.7 GB on the PS5 Pro for developer use, compared to 12.5 on the PS5.”
Warren finally specified that “it’s not about new informationbut I can confirm its accuracy.” After all, we had already told you that practically everything is now known about the PS5 Pro due to a precise choice made by Sony.
In a subsequent post Warren then explained that the PS5 Pro will be 10% more powerful than the PS5 on the CPU side and 45% on the GPU side.
