The Emilian singer he married for the first time from 1966 to 1979 with Laura Efrikian, with whom he had Marianna in 1969 and Marco in 1974. The two artists themselves recently gave an interview to Il Corriere della Sera, in which they explained what it meant for them to be the children of a superstar like Morandi, apparently very severe in his private life: “He kept telling me: if you want to do something, you have to be number 1. Do you want to sing? You have to be like Liza Minnelli. Do you want to be an actress? Then like Monica Vitti” Marianna explained.
“Our problem is that we could never make mistakes, we were “the children of”, always with the gaze of others focused on us, from how we dressed to how we behaved” has then added Marco, who together with his sister Marianna revealed that he had gone into analysis.
The two brothers explained about not having felt the lack of affection, but that of his presence yes, since because he was so famous, they often couldn’t even have an ice cream with him without being mobbed by fans.
