Enchanting, a Texan rapper who signed to Gucci Mane’s 1017 label in 2020, has died. She was 26 years old.
«It is sad to say goodbye to such a great young woman, a true star. We will miss you so much, Chant,” Gucci wrote in a social media post Tuesday. The cause of death has not yet been disclosed.

Enchanting, whose real name is Channing Nicole Larry, signed with 1017 Records in 2020 and left the label after releasing No Luv in 2022.
Rapper Coi Leray, who collaborated with her on the track Freaky Deaky, shared a tribute to Enchanting by writing in Instagram stories, «My heart is broken, I pray for friends and family» and then adding, in a second post, «Check how your friends are doing, even the strongest ones. You never know what someone is going through. There may be deep wounds beneath the surface.”
In 2023 Enchanting appeared on the soundtrack of RAP SH!TIssa Rae’s Max television series, alongside a roster of established rap stars, like Kaliii and Sexyy Red, and up-and-coming artists.
“Staying in the studio and recording constantly helps me find the style I can be good at,” she said in a statement posted on her 1017 Records profile. “It’s like Trap-n-Blues,” she wrote, describing her musical style. «Some people might relate to the things I say. I could help someone find peace.”
