Heat boom up to 42°C, expected soon Hotter temperatures than expected, the details

The heat will increase exponentially in the next few days, even more than expected. Peaks of up to 42°C will even be reached in some areas of the country.

After a very long period of weather and climate uncertainty which characterized the month of May and the first days of June, the arrival of theAfrican anticyclone Scipio it brought atmospheric stability to all of Italy. The good weather is favoring a decisive one thermal increasewhich will tend to rise further next weekend.

It is expected that between Saturday 8th and Sunday 9th June the temperatures will reach considerable values. The two Major islands will record the highest peaks, with highs up to 37-38°C. The rest of the country will also see a temperature increase: peaks close to 35/36°C in the South, especially in Ionian areas and up to 33/34°C in the internal areas of the Centre. It will also be hot this time in the North as in many places in the country Po Valley where they will touch 31-32°C. Here, the high level of humidity, especially in the evening and morning hours, will accentuate the sensation of heat with the phenomenon ofmuggy.
Only in the North-West and in the Alps and pre-Alps could temperatures be slightly lower, also due to a worsening of the weather expected during Sunday, when locally strong storms will arrive.
This worsening will also influence the beginning of next week.

In fact, there is a scenario of clear dichotomy between the Northern and Southern regions Monday 10 June and even more so around the middle of the new week, while in the North the atmospheric instability will attenuate the heat, in the South the anticyclone Scipio it will strengthen further, pushing temperatures even higher, until they reach peaks of 41-42°C and locally even beyond.
