A post on social media by Gianni Morandi completely bandaged over his right eye has caused great concern. He posted jokingly: “I got into fights.” Maybe someone had even believed it, but obviously the singer was making fun of a small operation he had undergone. Many, in the absence of an immediate explanation, had hypothesized that it had been an eye operation: a cataract was the most popular hypothesis. But it was Morandi himself who revealed the mystery by responding to one of the many messages of good wishes that arrived on social media. In fact, the singer explained to Fausto Leali that he had an operation on the lens of his eye.
Gianni Morandi will return to prime time on Rai 1 tomorrow evening, April 26th, with “Evviva!” – on a journey through genres, characters and themes that have made the history of Italian television. A geographical journey too, along the Italian regions because Rai does not only belong to those who made it but also to those who followed and loved it.
The first appointment is dedicated to Rome and to Italian Saturday evenings, which in television terms means only one thing: Variety. From Mario Riva’s “Musichiere” (which combined guests, games and songs) to “Studio Uno”, from “Canzonissima” to “Fantastico”, without forgetting the new formats such as “Carramba” (a variety show whose protagonists were ordinary people ), the “One man shows” (from Panariello to Fiorello), the talent shows.
