“I spout bullshit to avoid anxiety”

The elevator anecdote

With these words, Psalm he recalled an anecdote that occurred on set of the TV series Block 181. The image, shown during the awards ceremony, of the red doors of two elevators brought the episode back to his memory: “We were recording in a very old building – says Salmo – and, at a certain point, the elevator stopped . You know the one who tries to pretend that everything is fine and spouts bullshit to avoid making the anxiety rise? Well, that was me. Except that in the end I screwed up. I made a fool of myself.” Salmo lost control and broke down the doors, letting everyone out.

Filming of the second season of the series concluded on April 17th and will soon be broadcast on Sky.

Some of the stages of Salmo’s career

During the interview, Salmo retraced, thanks to photographs, some of the events that marked his career. These include the release of his first studio album in 2011, The Island Chainsaw Massacre, which consecrated him on the Italian rap scene and sanctioned his rise. Another photo immortalized his first concert at San Siro after Covid: “I don’t remember anything about that concert – said Salmo – the long work of the previous month led me to do everything automatically. I went on stage, I sang, but I removed everything.”

The documentary on the Costa Smeralda

Furthermore, during the awards ceremony, Salmo announced that he was working on a project documentary on the Costa Smeralda. The artist from Olbia declared his appreciation for the area: “Until I travelled, I didn’t understand how beautiful the Costa Smeralda really is and I haven’t yet found places similar to this. Maybe two or three. Only by seeing the world do you understand how lucky we are and it is right to talk about this place.” Regarding the documentary: “I don’t know when it will be released yet, but I am creating a project which, through interviews and real-life events, tells the story of this place fromAga Khan until today”.
