Taylor Swift: ‘The Tortured Poets Department’ is a 31-song double album

The surprise announcement came two hours after it was posted: the singer shared 15 more songs because she had “written so much tortured poetry”

Surprise! The Tortured Poets Department it’s actually a double album. Taylor Swift has revealed that she has recorded 15 additional tracks in addition to those contained in the ‘regular’ version, tracks which are now available in the form of The Tortured Poets Department: The Anthology.

«There’s a surprise: The Tortured Poets Department it’s a secret DOUBLE album,” Swift wrote on Instagram. “I’ve written so many haunted poems over the past two years and I wanted to share them all with you, so here are 15 extra songs. And now the story is no longer mine… it’s yours.”

With the addition of bonus songs, The Tortured Poets Department now has 31 tracks. Among the new ones The Manuscript, The Bolter, The Albatross And The Black Dogwhich are the bonus tracks featured on several vinyl versions of the album.

This is the singer-songwriter’s eleventh album, an album that sees her reunite with both Jack Antonoff and Aaron Dessner. Her songs explore her most recent relationships as well as her public image, and feature collaborations with Post Malone (Fortnight) and Florence and the Machine (Florida!!!).
