The project that Elodie has embraced is “Taking care”, to combat educational poverty in the Quartaccio neighborhood of Rome, where the singer grew up. In recent days, as documented by the photos and videos published on Instagram, you met a group of pupils from the primary school of the “Andersen” complex of the Pio La Torre comprehensive institute in Quartaccio, some of whom will be protagonists of the project.
Commitment to children
Elodie – it is explained in a note – becomes ambassador of Save the Children at the end of a journey that began in March 2022, when the singer chose to support the organization’s projects for Ukrainian children involved in the war that had just broken out. «We are very happy and proud that Elodie has chosen to become part of our family and share our commitment», said Claudio Tesauro, president of Save the Children.
The project
“Taking care” is intended for a first group of minors between 6 and 17 years old who live in Quartaccio. The intervention involves the definition of an individual educational plan focused on responding to the specific needs of minors, starting from their desires and aspirations, with the full involvement of families, educational institutions and services active in the area. The project is carried out in collaboration with the “Pio La Torre” Comprehensive Institute and the S. Onofrio Social Cooperative.
