Welcome to the South (2010)
We immediately liked this film because, in a simple and intelligent way, it uses humor to ‘destroy’ the classic stereotypes and prejudices between North and South. Alberto Colombo (Claudio Bisio), director of a post office in Brianza, pretends to be paraplegic to obtain a transfer to Milan and please his wife Silvia (Angela Finocchiaro). Discovered, he is instead sent to Castellabate, in Cilento. Initially worried by rumors about the Southhe soon discovers the kindness of the people and the beauty of the place. In order not to contradict his wife’s prejudices, he tells her lies which, when Silvia decides to visit him, turn into a complicated and growing charade. In the castin addition to Siani, we find:

Welcome to the North (2012)
Despite some mixed reviews, the sequel also proved to be a great success. What prevails over everything is the chemistry and perfect complicity between Alessandro Siani and Claudio Bisio and, the film makes us understand how those prejudices that ‘attack’ the South, are present (albeit in a different way) also in the North. Two years after the events of the first chapter, Alberto lives in Milan and Mattia works as a postman in Castellabate with his wife and family. The constant friction between wife and mother-in-law pushes Maria to leave Mattia, who decides to move to the North to win her back. Arrived in Milan, she finds herself living with Albertostruggling with marriage problems and an increasingly demanding job under the new postmaster general. While they both try to face their responsibilities and rediscovering the value of family, the arrival of Maria and her family further complicates things, casting doubt on Mattia’s true intentions.
