The film production company Millennium Media has released the trailer for Hellboy: The Crooked Mannew film dedicated to the character created by cartoonist Mike Mignola in 1993.
The film – which is a reboot, not a sequel to the previous one released in 2019 – tells the story of Hellboy’s alliance with a rookie BPRD agent to discover an isolated community of witches in 1950s Appalachia.
The screenplay is based on the comic Hellboy: The Crooked Manpublished by Dark Horse Comics in July 2008, written by Mignola himself with drawings by Richard Corben (in Italy it is present on Hellboy Omnibus 5 of Magic Press with the title The deformed man).
To direct Hellboy: The Crooked Man è Brian Taylor (Crank, Gamer, Ghost Rider – Spirit of Vengeance), while the screenplay was created by Mignola together with Chris Golden.
Il cast comprende: Jack Kesy (Hellboy), Jefferson White (Tom Ferrell), Hannah Margetson (Cora Fisher), Joseph Marcell (Reverendo Nathaniel Armstrong Watts), Leah McNamara (Effie Kolb) e Adeline Rudolph (Bobbie Jo Song).
