Yesterday, Thursday 13 June, it closed Cinema in Festa, the promotional initiative promoted by Anica and Anec and supported by MIC – which for five days offered all films at 3.50 euros. Yesterday the attendance was 134,921, 132.7% more seven days ago, with a collection of 485,095 euros (+30.7% compared to last Thursday). There were 2,437 screens. In the five days of the initiative, attendance was 677,193, 48.2% more than the period 2-6 June. The driving effect that Cinema in Festa has on the public is therefore confirmed. It went less well in terms of takings; from 9 to 13 June the box office was 2,529,962 euros, 19% less than the previous week.
Coming to the films, the lion’s share was, as expected, action Bad Boys – Ride or Die which started well with 180,687 euros and 50,703 admissions, and a very good average of 536 euros per cinema (337). The previous Bad Boys For Lifereleased on 20 February 2020 at the gates of Covid, started with 149,802 euros and closed, together with the stop at cinemas, with 1.4 million euros. Bad Boys II on 17 October 2003 it started with 195,089 euros to close at 2.9 million. We will see what the path of this new chapter of the franchise will be which could be halfway between the earnings of the two films.
Climb to second position Kinds of Kindness with 67,144 euros (-16%) and 18,690 spectators (11,789 seven days ago), which brings Yorgos Lanthimos’ film to 713,394 euros with an average of 168 euros per cinema (399). With a summer release, the film could reach one million euros.
Complete the podium Me against you the film – Operation spies with 40,222 euros (-48%) for 11,469 spectators (12,313 seven days ago), for a total of 2,060,282 euros and an average of 123 euros. However, the two protagonists of family films did their part in a very difficult market period.
Fourth position for horror The Watchers – They are watching you with 35,662 euros (-7%) for 10,163 spectators (5,540 seven days ago), for a total of 425,826 euros, seventh place in the horror ranking of the year.
Debut in fifth position for the second part of the series The art of joy with 17,158 euros and 4,791 spectators, with the first part grossing 275 thousand euros. The average was 71 euros.
Also debuting in sixth position with fantasy The Animal Kingdom which debuts with 16,728 euros for 4,717 spectators, with a total of 25,485 euros with previews. The average cinema is 59 euros.
The small “phenomenon” of Cinema in Festa was IF – Imaginary friendsseventh yesterday with 14,372 euros (+80%) for 4,155 spectators (only 1,323 seven days ago), for a total of 1,894,574 euros.
Eighth position, however, for Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga with 12,698 euros (-41%) for 3,614 attendances (2,853 seven days ago), for a total of 1,659,576 euros.
In ninth position is another horror, namely The exorcism – Last act with 11,100 euros (-42%) for 3,156 appearances (2,571 last week), for a total of 681,938 euros which earned it fifth place in the annual ranking of the genre.
He returns to the top 10 in tenth place Ennio Doris – There is also tomorrow with 9,302 euros (+32%) for 1,422 spectators (1,027 last week), for a total of 696,079 euros. The average of 1,329 euros in 7 cinemas was excellent.
