ANCONA 550 at the Mole for the new film by Alessandro Siani and Leonardo Pieraccioni, between regulars and newbies. From children to the elderly, hundreds showed up for the first day of casting (today the second, from 9am to 4pm) for the extras in the new Christmas film (all from the Marche region) of the comedian couple. “You and I need to talk” is the title of the film.
«A transversal film» defines it as Fabrizio Saracinelli, administrator of Guasco Cinematografica, the Ancona company that is helping Siani and Pieraccioni in the production. Around 500 extras wanted. «Faces of mafiosi and policemen as well as people in high places» reports Saracinelli. Varied profiles like those who queued up yesterday afternoon, from 2pm to 7pm, for the first day of casting.
The voices
«We had come for him, I just had to accompany him but then they gave me the number too» says Tamara smiling, pointing to her son Francesco. In the end both passed through the cameras of the scrutineers, who took some pertinent photos of each candidate to then submit to the directors and screenwriters. «It’s all her fault, I got carried away» jokes Cinzia, brought onto the set by her friend Federica Fiori. «For me it’s the second time, I had already made the audience for the fiction with Raoul Bova» she says. Next to them is Mrs. Oriana, 70 years old. «When I was young I enjoyed (being an extra, ed.)» she remembers. Not only. «I’ve known Pieraccioni since he wasn’t yet famous, we used to meet at the theater in Florence» he reels off her memories. «Today I wasn’t working and I’ve always liked this area» explains Salvatore Parziale, 54 years old, from Osimo. Adults but not only. Leaving aside a cute dog following its owner – the photo was also taken of the quadruped -, there was also space for the very young. The day dedicated to children was scheduled for today (from 2pm to 4pm) but Mrs. Laura came for herself and took the opportunity to also have her son Luca, 8 years old, pose. «The idea was to draw on the territory for the cast» explains Saracinelli between one shot and another. Extras but also «special figures and small roles».
The absent stars
Yesterday, however, not even a shadow of Siani and Pieraccioni. But their film will not be the last for which casting will open in our territory. «We are working with Paco Cinematografica, the company that also produces Tornatore, for a funny film entitled “Strike”, the work of three very young directors» anticipates the administrator of Guasco. In this case, the search for extras should take place around June 12th.
