The Kingdom of the Planet of the Apesthe latest installment in the relaunched franchise of Planet of the Apeshits theaters in exactly ten days, and 20th Century Studios has released some new promotional material, including an action-packed final trailer and new footage.

The teaser tells us more about the new ape protagonist, Noa, and reveals why he has a vendetta against the tyrannical Proximo Caesar. We also hear Mae speak, and it seems that the human girl is fully aware that the world belonged to her people before the ape uprising.

The official synopsis of The Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes (Kingdom of the Planet of the Bees) reports: “Some groups of apes have never heard of Caesar, while others have distorted his teachings to build thriving empires. In this scenario, an ape leader begins to enslave other groups to find human technology, while another ape, who has seen his clan taken hostage, embarks on a journey to find freedom. A young human woman, meanwhile, becomes the key to the latter’s search, even though she has plans of her own..”

Director Wes Ball breathes new life into the epic franchise set several generations after Caesar’s reign, where apes are the dominant species living in harmony and humans are forced to live in the shadows. As a tyrannical new ape leader builds his empire, a young ape embarks on a harrowing journey that will lead her to question everything she knows about the past and make choices that will define a future for both apes and humans. .

The Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes is directed by Wes Ball (trilogy of Maze Runner) and is played by Owen Teague (It), Freya Allan (The Witcher), Kevin Durand (Locke & Key), Peter Macon (Shameless) And William H. Macy (Fargo). The screenplay is by Josh Friedman (War of the Worlds), Rick Jaffa & Amanda Silver (Avatar: The Way of Water) and Patrick Aison (Prey), based on the characters created by Rick Jaffa & Amanda Silver.
