A few days after the release of the new horror The First Omen, a prequel to the 1976 cult The Omen, another classic of the genre is also about to make a comeback thanks to a very similar operation.

We’re talking about Rosemary’s Baby by Roman Polanskilegendary horror-thriller from 1968 that many of you will certainly have recognized from the cover image of this article: you should know, in fact, that Paramount made the prequel to Rosemary’s Babywhich will be released in the fall on the on-demand streaming platform Paramount+ under the title of Apartment 7A.

Described as a psychological thriller starring new Fantastic Four actress Julia Garner and directed by Natalie Erika James (author of the acclaimed original horror Relic), the film will premiere exclusively this fall on Paramount’s streamer in the U.S. and international markets selected. The story follows a struggling young dancer (Garner) who suffers a devastating injury and finds herself drawn to dark forces when a seemingly very kind elderly couple promises her a chance at fame long desired.

Set in New York in 1965, the film tells the story a prequel story to Roman Polanski’s horror classic Rosemary’s Baby, and will explore what happened in Apartment 7A before Rosemary moved in. The cast will also include Dianne Wiest, Jim Sturgess and Kevin McNally, while among the producers also include John Krasinski and Michael Bay.
