As announced a few days ago, Arnold Schwarzenegger And Sylvester Stallone they’re back sharing the screen, this time for a TV special titled Arnold & Sly: Rivals, Friends, Icons.
The special aired a few hours ago and, as reported by the Hollywood Reporter, during the interview the infamous story of how Arnold Schwarzenegger he deceived Sylvester Stallone to accept a role in Stop, or mother shootas we told you here and here.
In essence, the former governor of California succeeded “through deception by agents” to make it seem that he would be the protagonist of the film, and not Stallone, then giving the impression that he had lost the role because the producers had preferred his colleague.
“I was, of course, absolutely over the moon” he said Schwarzenegger. “I thought the only way to get to him was to trip him up. It was a psychological thing, that’s how it works in Hollywood, when you continue to be successful. So I said to myself, ‘Okay, if Sly were to slip up…’“.
After years of rivalry, Schwarzenegger And Stallion they invested together in the restaurant chain Planet Hollywood in the 90’s. Over time they starred in the film dei Mercenaries and its sequels.
