“Cisss-lé” arrives, the short film by Gian Francesco Tiramani

The game of Morra (which has almost 3,000 years of history, from the Egyptians onwards) has always populated our mountains and in recent times has been regaining strength thanks to new generations who are approaching this experience which is certainly not just a game .

Here comes, therefore, a mini docufilm on this game and the preview of “Cisss-lé” will be held on Friday 19 April at 9pm, at the Zia Valentina tavern in Morfasso, with free admission.

The work, written and directed by director Gian Francesco Tiramani, is a work that tells the story of the Morra game, one of the oldest in the world, in a decidedly original way.

An opportunity also to remember characters, places and habits of the Piacenza mountains destined to disappear in the short term; all thanks to real Morfassini who – without particular effort – became actors for an afternoon.

The Morra game has always had the appearance of an engaging theatrical representation whose essential ingredients are rhythm, musicality, cunning, speed and intuition.

All elements of the tasty cocktail found in the short film where exciting matches, colorful stories and historical captions alternate.

And while the fists forcefully shake the old tavern table, the players’ voices become an exciting symphony with tones that at times become imperious, both to try to mislead the opponent and to underline the point won.

Be careful, then, of attempts to cheat because – as we hear in the film – “in those days you had to try everything to win because if you lost you didn’t have the money to pay”.
