SThe first filming of the film has begun in Lombardy documentary dedicated to the fifteen-time world championHis Majesty Giacomo Agostini. It is a documentary film that we will most likely see in theaters and on Sky by the end of the year, even if there is still no certainty about the timing. The title of the documentary film will simply be “NEEDLE”the subject is written by Giangiacomo De Stefano and Giorgio Bungarothe direction is by De Stefano himself, who many readers probably already know: he is the director, among other things, of the recent “Zucchero Sugar Fornaciari” and “Gilles Villeneuve, the aviator”.
Cthere will be archive images, interviews, testimonies. I can personally anticipate that I’ll be part of the “cast”: as a direct witness of many of Giacomo’s exploits, I was recently interviewed by De Stefano. I talked about Hailwood, the TT and Monza, MV and Yamaha, that generation of riders and motorbikes. In particular, I talked about how, at the beginning of the Seventies, for us young riders Agostini was “too much”: too successful, his bike was too powerful compared to the other ones, he was too handsome and lucky. It was natural envy, and then we discovered that without a doubt he had deserved everything. There were many talents, but that head was unique: the first great motorcycle professional.
